Fulfilling the commitments to testing community and improving overall software application quality, AdactIn released a sample web based application to learn Test Automation and Functional Testing. This is a free application available to users once registered.

Key features of the application include:
  • A web based Hotel Reservation System
  • Custom developed to ease learning curve of Test Automation
  • Includes most of the key challenges automation tools and testers face, including dynamic data generation, dynamic UI controls, Windows pop-up, test data related change and more.
  • Application has 2 builds:
    • Build-1 – has been developed with known defects. Thus, functional test cases and automation scripts will fail on this build.
    • Build-2 – Known defects have been fixed. Thus, functional test cases and automation test scripts should pass when executed on this build.
  • Works across major browsers IE8, IE9, Chrome and Firefox
  • Sample Test cases can be downloaded once logged into the application.
  • It’s FREE. Users need to register their username to use the application for the first time.
  • More enhancements in progress to add web services interface to the application. Coming Soon.
